Yes, you read that right…5 cats and 2 dogs…and none of them are mine! They came with their 2 legged humans that live with us. I’m pretty sure cats always have that look on their face, but I think they look at me like that because they know I am not a “cat person.”
As you can imagine, there is a lot going on around here! While everyone is still adjusting to each other – and I’m sure that will last as long as they are here – I’m over here filling my diffuser with what has become my most used essential oil…Purification!
It seems that the 5 cats have decided that they only need to use 2 of their 4 litter boxes! They have 2 in their humans’ room and 2 in another room…and it is those 2 that they REALLY like. I don’t like that smell, if you know what I mean. I definitely am NOT nose blind! What I love about Purification is that it just takes that smell, any smell, right out of the air. It doesn’t cover it up with perfume-y smells, it just makes the whole house smell fresh and clean. I also like to add a drop or 2 of lemon or orange essential oil just to change it up. The cats and dogs don’t mind, and if they do they just go to another room. We never diffuse essential oils in a closed room with the animals – they can move about as they desire and the house is big enough to find their own space.
Before the 5 cats arrived, I really didn’t use Purification that much…just the occasional smelly trash can, diaper pail or stinky shoes. Now I think I use it every other day…and those cat boxes get “scooped” every day and sometimes twice. It’s an interesting life we lead around here…never dull, rarely quiet and full of love. I”ll live with the 5 cats and 2 dogs as long as their humans will stay!
