I’ve been out of touch lately…some weird flu or something. All I know is that sometime last Thursday night, my daughter started with a stomach virus – vicious and violent for 24 solid hours – and I was cleaning house, washing stuff, trying to steer clear of her (she’s an adult) while still getting her things she needs…like oils in her diffuser and water to sip, sparingly. I also had grandma duty, so I was happily busy keeping a 2 year old occupied!
I oiled up like nobody’s business! We put Immupower in her diffuser and my grandson and I enjoyed some Thieves and Lemon, just because I like those 2 together. By Saturday night, I was feeling nauseous and thought it was my turn. I used my Digize essential oil to help my tummy and put Immupower in my diffuser. I woke up Sunday morning very nauseous, but I never threw up (thankfully)…but the body pain was tremendous! Even my fingernails hurt! What is this weird viral stuff?
You know, I realize everyone is going to get sick – even us oilers! It is what it is, as my dad used to say. I was so thankful to have these essential oils because the very thought of having to take medicine, by mouth, made me want to gag! I didn’t eat anything for more than two days and drank only water or a little gatorade in sips. I used the Panaway on my back, neck and major joints to help ease the discomfort I felt all over. That and my Amethyst Biomat were my soothing comforts. There was no getting comfortable without them!
I’ve been getting a little better with each passing day. Daughter is well again and no one else in the house is showing any signs of continuing the saga! I’m tired…like really tired, but I took a shower and ate a banana and a small turkey sandwich today. Things are looking up! I realize that lots of people are getting or have had this weird flu thing, but I cannot imagine going through that without the help of these essential oils!
