One of THOSE days | Biomat time

I woke up this morning feeling yuck. It happens. And then I sneezed about 6 times in a row! What happened to just 3?!?

My head was pounding and I got up to find my lemon, lavender and peppermint to get my diffuser going again…but first, I suddenly had a nosebleed! I get them a lot during the dry winter months and I usually just use saline spray to keep them at bay. But it’s certainly not the dry season here in Florida…just allergy season! No wonder my head hurts!

I reach for my helichrysum essential oil and put it on the outside of my nose down the bridge and sides. And I sneeze again…where is the lemon, lavender and peppermint?

The hubs is standing next to me with a puzzled look. “You ok?” I’m glaring at myself in the mirror and mumble, “I’ll live. Nosebleed.” He asks if he can get me anything and I mention I’m using my last tissue, but I don’t show him because he can’t stand the sight of blood! I just go find another and then spend 5 minutes standing over my diffuser taking deep breaths!

It’s at this moment I decide that today is cancelled. Honestly, I didn’t have any appointments or meetings scheduled. I was going to spend the morning cleaning off my desk and then finish editing photos and some drone video I shot over the weekend. Nope. Not happening today. I’m going to sit on my biomat and do a little recovery time.

If you’ve never heard of a biomat, well you are missing out! It’s an Infrared heat source filled with amethyst gemstones. You may have heard of Infrared Saunas and this is similar only much better (imho.) It has temperature settings from 95 – 158 degrees and no, I haven’t used it at that level! My fav is 113 degrees and sometimes I’ll go as high as 131, but that doesn’t last long. I’ve also been known to sleep on it all night at the lowest setting. It has other features and benefits including regenerating negative ions! All I know is, it helps me feel better faster!

So tomorrow should be a better day! Hopefully the rain I hear outside will clear the air a bit and the low pressure system will keep moving away. I can’t control the weather, but somehow it does a good job of controlling me. Oh well…more biomat time!
