Finding balance | Essential oils

I have Diverticulosis along with many in the US! While some don’t even know they have it, I’m one of those that has flare-ups of Diverticulitis-where the area is either inflamed, infected or both.

It’s painful and the medicine prescribed to combat the issue is not fun. While I’m not one to risk the damaging effects of diverticulitis, I will do what I can to get it under control before deciding to get the prescriptions.

It started sometime early Wednesday morning waking me up with the pain. It wasn’t even 2am so it took me a minute to process what was causing the discomfort.

I went to my essential oil shelf, found some Digize and Melrose and rubbed a couple drops of each on my lower abdomen. I also rubbed a couple drops of Oregano essential oil on the bottoms of my feet right around the arch and down toward my heel. (Look up Vita Flex Points)🦶🏻

I found my bottle of Inner Defense, which contains Thieves and Oregano essential oils, and took one with a large glass of water. I refilled the water glass and went back to bed.

I didn’t sleep well the rest of the night. I continued the same oils regimen all of Wednesday and I am noticing improvement. It’s only been a day, but the bloating and discomfort is greatly reduced. If I’m not comfortable with my progress by tomorrow morning, I will get the prescriptions filled as I promised my doctor. He’s on board with me trying to help my body fight back with essential oils because he also knows that I won’t take unnecessary chances and cause more damage than good.

It’s all about balance. My wellness cabinet is mostly essential oils and that is my first choice in taking care of my body. Drinking lots of water and a better diet would also help and I’m working on the better diet.🤪

So if you see me today and give me a hug, I’m probably going to smell like a weird pizza. At least that’s what my daughter said after “is that…(sniff) Woah! Oregano?” 😏 Guess I should wear my sneakers today!
